what is sports safety and why is it important?

Physical activity can improve both mental and physical health because it emerges you into a sense of community and focus. As with any other passion, it is important to practice safe habits and to take care of yourself. The CDC says that “more than 2.6 million children 0 - 19 years old are treated in the emergency department each year for sports and recreation-related
injuries”.
Physically taking care of your body, and being aware of certain dangers is an important part of mental health as long as your overall well-being.

A concussion is a Traumatic Brain Injury where the brain is injured by a sudden change in movement or an impact. Something notable about concussions is that oftentimes, people experiencing a concussion never lose consciousness, it is very likely that “external signs of head
trauma, such as bleeding will be absent”.
